Prism London

I ran across these glasses a long time ago and meant to post a blog about them. There was an article posted in Nylon about the fledgling eye glasses company and I fell in love instantly. The are called Prism London.

Messenger Bags

When it comes to bags, I can't be seen in public with ones that nestle under my shoulder or hang from my wrist without feeling like a Barbie. Plus, its uncomfortable! Try as I might I can't get over my aversion to traditional handbags (which makes me feel guilty for having my mom buy me a Louis Vuitton Speedy 35). However, being that I am a girl, I feel compelled to carry everything I own with me at all times, which is why I LOVE messenger bags. They rest easily on your shoulders, they hold a lot, and they have an urban European feel to them. If the bags above are too masculine (which is not surprising considering they are from the men collections) check out the adorable one from MARC by Marc Jacobs (I just love Miss Marc!)
In order of appearance: J. Crew, Louis Vuitton, J. Crew, and MARC by Marc Jacobs.

Oxfords/Spectators

If you haven't guessed I am a huge fan of menswear for women so it should be no surprise that I am fawning over oxfords this fall. Lucky for me, there is a great selection of them out there right now. I thinking of pairing them with a pair of dressy wool shorts and leggings or boyfriend jeans.

In order of appearance: YSL, Christian Louboutin, Christian Louboutin, J. Crew, ShopBop, Frye, and UrbanOutfitters.

Statement Earrings

Statement earrings have to be my favorite item of jewelry. They never fail to spice up an outfit and turn heads. So next time you have a hot date, find the biggest pair of earrings you own.

Snake Jewelry

The oh-so popular serpentine adornments we see all the celebrities is one of those trends that is constantly "in." Like metallics, animal print, and large totes. I am tired of reading articles that say things like "Metallics were spotted all over the runway this season. They are making a comeback." They do every season but that doesn't mean they deserve to. However, with snake jewelry I am so happy they are constantly on the "it list." There is something so feminine, strong, and sensual about donning a snake cuff. My icons for this look are the obvious: Cleopatra, Olympias (Alexander's Mother), and Medusa.

In order of appearance: www.Swarovski.com, Elizabeth and James, Nathan and Moe, Adina Reyter, Elizabeth and James, Alkemie, Elizabeth and James, Uzca.

Pretty Young Thing

Don't tell me this collection isn't cute. The jewelry line is called Pretty Young Thing. They use all recycled materials which makes it even more quaint.

Wish List: River Island Pearly Chain Necklace

I found this chunky, rockstar inspired necklace in a British Vogue. It is 29 Pounds or roughly 50 dollars American. RiverIsland.com

You can find a more U.S. accessible and less expensive version at GUESS for $39.

My New Favorite: Sephora Nail Patches

I found these at Sephora and was skeptical at first but with a big event the next morning I was desparate for a quick fix for my nails. Let me tell you these are AMAZING and only $5. Everyone wanted to know where I got them. They are stickers that go onto you nails and last for 11 days without chipping. You remove them with nail polish remover just like if you had them painted. They don't smudge, there is no drying time, and they have that glossy finish. The only downside is the limited color selection.

Can you throw me a bone here?

Rag & Bone is the epitome of perfection in my book and they didn't disapoint in their SS09 Collection. Do you think they give out freebies?

I am visually impaired, not fashion impaired!

I recently found out that I have congenital cataracts and require glasses. Lucky for me, Chanel currently has a fabulous optical collection. The topmost glasses are the ones I chose. They are quite large and a bit geek chic. They look like they are made for men but they fit a women's face. Who knew it is so exciting to get glasses?

Fashion takes a Bullet for jewelry.

The fashion world is taking tough chic to a new level. Adorn some bullet adorned jewelry for days when you don't want to be messed with.
